Washington, DC (December 10, 2021) – This year’s annual Clark/Davis Breakfast, held on December 2 at the National Building Museum, raised more than $50,000 for Samaritan Inns, a nonprofit combating homelessness and addiction. Since the event began in 2014, more than $400,000 has been raised and used for construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects throughout Samaritan Inns’ eight properties.

“We are so grateful for the support of Clark and Davis, two of the leading construction companies in the region,” said Lauren C. Vaughan, President & CEO, Samaritan Inns. “While competitors in the market, they are united in their commitment to supporting the mission of Samaritan Inns.”

Clark and Davis, long-standing supporters of Samaritan Inns, pick a venue that has significance to the company each year and invite their subcontractors to support their efforts for Samaritan Inns. The first year the event was at the National Cathedral; DAVIS Construction handled the restoration after the earthquake. Other venues included the Bible Museum (which Clark built), and the Intercontinental Hotel at the Wharf (a DAVIS project).

Mike Alto, Samaritan Inns Board Chair, Division President, Mid-Atlantic Region, Clark Construction, Lauren C. Vaughan, President & CEO, Samaritan Inns, and Jim Davis, Samaritan Inns Board Member and President & CEO, Davis Construction gather at the Clark and Davis Breakfast in support of Samaritan Inns (wearing each other’s hard hats in support of their collaboration).
