At Samaritan Inns, we understand the power of community and the transformation that can occur when individuals come together to support those in need. If you have a desire to make a difference in the lives of homeless and at-risk men and women, we invite you to explore our volunteer opportunities.
The Samaritan Inns’ Dinner Fellowship Program provides an excellent opportunity for small groups to cook for and connect with our clients in recovery at the Intensive Treatment Program and Women with Children Program. The daily routine of sharing a meal and conversation is a vital part of the recovery process for the residents, so they truly benefit from your company.
This opportunity takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm.
For more information, a copy of our Dinner Fellowship Program Guidelines, directions, or to sign up, contact Justin Feltman via email at Justin@samaritaninns.org.
Every spring, summer, and fall, Samaritan Inns opens its doors and properties to volunteers who want to help keep our 8 properties clean, warm, and home-like for our residents. We carefully customize meaningful and well-structured activities for groups that can range in size from just a few people to up to 30. Our hope is that, as participants are impacting our organization with their work, they form relationships among themselves, our staff, and our programs.
Sample projects include painting walls or fences, gardening/planting, stripping and staining furniture, weeding, power washing walls, cleaning windows, and polishing floors. We welcome supply donations for these activities as well.
For more information and to schedule your group, please contact Justin Feltman at least 30 days before your desired date via email at Justin@samaritaninns.org.
Samaritan Inns’ Worship Services are designed to help unite residents of all phases of the program in spiritual healing and worship. We are looking for volunteers, pastors, or churches who are willing to preach, conduct a praise service, or other talents you’d like to bring to this service.
The program is every Sunday from 11 am to 12 pm.
If you feel this is the right opportunity for you, please contact Justin Feltman via email at Justin@samaritaninns.org.
If you have a special talent or area of expertise that you would like to share, we can work with you! Some of our volunteers give a few hours each week to answer the phones at the front desk. Others offer money management training sessions and one-on-one support to the residents in our long-term housing program, and others provide yoga, art classes, exercise, and computer training classes for our residents.
The possibilities are varied and vast. We would love to discuss how your gifts could be utilized to enhance the mission of Samaritan Inns.
Please contact Justin Feltman via email at Justin@samaritaninns.org if you would like to discuss how you can contribute.
