Please join Samaritan Inns staff, volunteers and residents on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the National Mall for Fannie Mae’s 22nd Annual Help the Homeless Walkathon! Last year, hundreds of individuals walked on behalf of Samaritan Inns in support of our mission to end homelessness and addictions in our Nation’s capital and raised over $21,000 for Samaritan Inns in the process! We hope this year we will have an even bigger presence at the Walkathon in celebration of our 25th year in service to our community. Please join us!
What: 2009 Help the Homeless Walkathon
We would like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers and golfers, as well as Westfields Golf Club for making Samaritan Inns’ First Annual Tournament of Hope the incredible success that it was.
In all, we raised over $35,000 to help end homelessness and addictions in our Nation’s Capital!
We’re always looking for creative new ways to involve our community and neighbors in our shared mission to end homelessness and addictions, and this year we’re thrilled to announce our first ever Tournament of Hope golf tournament to take place on September 25th, 2009 at the Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, Virginia.
Here at Samaritan Inns we were thrilled to launch our shiny new website at the beginning of July, 2009. Earlier this year, we finished the lengthy process of re-branding to reflect a warmer and cleaner aesthetic, and are very pleased with the results. Thanks to the beautiful pro-bono identity design work from our friends at MDB Communications and the web gurus at Radiolag Creative Works, our informative, warm, and user-friendly new website perfectly complements our mission: to combat homelessness and addictions in the District of Columbia.
