Dear Friends and Family of Samaritan Inns,
As we finish up work this week for the Christmas holiday, I reflect on the mission of our organization and why we are here. It is, in essence, to provide the gift of hope for every man and woman who seeks it. The gift of recovery. The gift of transformative healing.
And where do these gifts come from? It may be tempting to give ourselves credit but, as James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above.” We are merely vessels for these spiritual gifts.
About 2,000 years ago, God gave us all the ultimate gift, the gift of eternal salvation. No matter who we are, resident, staff, friend, or supporter of Samaritan Inns, we are all broken and in need of hope, recovery, and spiritual healing. Thanks to God’s gifts, we can all be healed and made whole again.
This Christmas Day, I am grateful for the gift of recovery, hope, and healing. Not just for our residents but for us all. Without our heavenly father, none of this could be possible.
Merry Christmas!
