It takes long term recovery work – including a supportive living
environment, separate from old circles and neighborhoods – for sobriety to take hold.
Samaritan Inns’ six-month Transitional Program for men and women helps create a new life for individuals suffering from addictions – a life filled with accountability, responsibility, and loving respect.
The need for more transitional living spaces in DC is great, and the services provided to clients in this program are critical to helping more people in our community.
Samaritan Inns owns two buildings, the Ontario and Fairmont Street Inns which, once renovated and staffed, will serve an additional 50 men and 30 women a year in transition while providing specialized counseling and support services.
Clients in the Transitional Program receive addictions counseling, job training and placement, access to healthcare, life skills training, and a social community that supports their transition to a life of abstinence.
