Recovery from addiction is almost impossible without a safe and sober home environment. The District of Columbia has one of the highest rates of alcohol and drug abuse in the country. Homelessness continues to rise, and many homeless individuals have substance abuse issues.
Samaritan Inns has successfully designed and operated a comprehensive continuum of care featuring a residential treatment and recovery program. Individuals who graduate from this program become contributing members of society – living, working, and providing positive outcomes in their communities.
Our $2.5 million Campaign for Hope addresses the needs of Washington, DC with three initiatives:
These initiatives will build upon our 30 years of experience and expertise to help an even greater population of homeless and addicted individuals in the District secure employment and housing, maintain long-term sobriety, and transform their lives.
The Campaign for Hope will enable Samaritan Inns to work towards ending the cycle of addiction in our Nation’s Capital. To help us reach our campaign goal, click here.
