Samaritan Inns is proud to announce the Campaign for Hope!
This campaign will enable us to reach more men and women in need; and for the first time: the critically underserved population of addicted mothers and their children. Renovations continue at the Harvard Street Inn, where the unprecedented Women with Dependent Children program will help break the cycle of addiction by providing a multitude of services to both mothers and their children.
The Campaign for Hope will also allow Samaritan Inns to expand it’s transition programs, serving an additional 50 men and 30 women per year with specialized counseling and support services; and will strengthen the infrastructure that supports Samaritan Inns’ eight residential properties.
For thousands of addicted men and women in the District of Columbia, hope began at Samaritan Inns. Their lives were transformed by the effective treatment programs administered by our expert staff. Their lives were transformed by having a safe home and a stable community to support their recovery. And their lives were transformed by the will and grace of God.
But with more than 10,000 homless and tens of thousands at risk of being homeless in our region, and a rate of drug and alcohol abuse over 11%; our work is far from over. Please visit our Campaign for Hope website for the latest developments and how you can help as we continue to move toward breaking the cycle of addiction in our community.
